Face lift for grey cement garden furniture and stairs
The almost indestructible quality of older garden furniture made from cement is a great plus, but sometimes you want something new or just pretty. Surf the net to find pictures of something fitting the mood or setting in your garden (tea pots, wine bottles and glasses). Roughly trace a/ draw a picture with chalk and then you can mosaic this picture by using different cuts and colour tiles to form the picture and to give old furniture a second life. The many big trees in this garden were the clue for adding another tree on the table.

The uneven old paving stones leading to the swimming pool are facing the stoep and braai area and the cost of replacing them could not be justified. Mosaic proofed to be the answer. The top stair were done with old (re-used) mosaic tiles and found their way to a second life here. (It took some time to clean the old tiles from grout…but re-using makes me happy!)
